Can I remove concrete and cement stains from my car at home?

If the cement is dry powder or still wet, you might be able to wash it off with a pressure washer. This is what we would recommend, ensuring the car remains wet until you are sure every trace is washed away with large amounts of water.

However, if the concrete is dried on, it needs to be removed with a commercial concrete remover. These can be bought by the public, but you should ensure that the instructions are followed carefully, as these products are themselves often corrosive, and for this reason, in turn need to be neutralized.

These products are mild and can work well on light contamination, however, they might not be so effective against cement mix with additives such as latex resin.

There is a high likelihood that either the concrete or the process of removing it will have at least caused minor surface damage to the surface of the paintwork, and so the car will probably need paintwork correction and machine polishing to fully restore the car.
