What should I avoid doing when trying to remove cement from my car?

When removing cement and concrete from cars, you should avoid using force to remove it. Do not attempt to pick or scratch it off. It needs to be chemically removed if it is dried on.

If still wet, we advise against wiping it off as this can also cause scratches to the paintwork as it is abrasive. Instead, use a hosepipe or pressure washer to rinse it off, diluting it and flushing it away.

We also advise against using drain cleaner, limescale remover or harsh acid. These can cause damage to the car, but are also likely to cause harm and injury to you.

We also advise against using clay bars.
